Machine Guide Lessons
Now that you have your wonderful new Bernina, it’s time to learn what all those buttons, accessories, and flashing lights are! In the following guide lessons you will become a pro at using your machine and will maximize your investment, Your machine is only as good as what you do with it and it’s our job to help you use it to its fullest potential.
There is a kit fee, as well as a supply list.
These lessons are free if you purchased your Machine from Bernina Sewing Centre!
Pre School for Gifted Sewers
This class must be taken before all others. You will learn what all the feet are, machine parts, threading, needle and thread “know how” and how to do basic maintenance.
Machine Guide 1
Starting to piece things together. In this class, you will be learning how to sew perfect straight seams, stitching in the ditch, using guides, and much more!
Machine Guide 2
Now the fun really gets started! You will learn how to sew in zippers, buttonholes, edge stitching and fun decorative work.
Machine Guide 3
The fun continues in this class. Your decorative stitches come to life as well as the functions that make them all “pop”. You will also learn the memory part of your machine.
Machine Guide 4
Time to take the embroidery module out of the box and get some basic knowledge about needles, thread and stabilizers. Now you personalize your guide lesson project!
Machine Guide 5
Putting it all together. We will be binding, piping and lining to give our machine covers the final touches. Your new machine will love you when it wears this beautiful protective cover!
